We stand for equality and for an end to injustice

In recent weeks we have witnessed the death of George Floyd, an African-American man whose life ended at the hand of police brutality, and a call to action in the Black Lives Matter Movement. We know as health care workers the health disparities people of color endure, including the impact of COVID-19, which is disproportionately hospitalizing and killing Black and Hispanic people.

Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear continues to be committed to serving patients, providers and community partners to improve health. As a part of this service, we recognize the dignity, worth, and rights of all people regardless of age, color, culture, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, national origin, religion/spirituality, sexual orientation, marital status/partnership, language preference, or socioeconomic status.

We advocate for equality in health, policy, and resources and for an end to injustice and systemic racism across America. We do so peacefully, with respect for our communities. Together we can enact change that will create healthier and safer communities for all people.
