Wilmington, North Carolina – Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear (CCLCF) would like to welcome Michelle Jones, MD, FAAFP as our new part-time Associate Medical Director beginning October 14, 2020. Dr. Jones will work alongside Dr. Henry Hawthorne, Jr., CCLCF’s Medical Director.
Dr. Jones will continue her work as a family physician with Wilmington Health. She graduated from medical school at East Carolina University in Greenville and completed her internship and residency at Duke University. She has been certified by the American Board of Family Medicine since 1999 and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Jones is the wife of Dr. Jim Jones, founder of Access Care/Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear as well as our former Board Chair and Medical Director. “It is an honor to have Dr. Jones join the CCLCF team.” says Angela Ives, Executive Director. “She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our organization and will be integral in our success as we move to value based care”.
