Wilmington, North Carolina (August 9, 2019) – First Citizens Bank, Wilmington NC, sponsored a full day Community Resiliency Model (CRM) ® training on August 1st for 28 individuals working in the public service/non-profit sector. Organizations included DREAMS of Wilmington, Smart Start of New Hanover County, Coastal Horizons, and MedNorth Health Center. The training was hosted by the Wilmington Treatment Center.
Lauren Clark and Jesse Hardin, of Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear, facilitated the interactive training to help individuals understand the biology of stress reactions and learn specific skills to reset the nervous system’s natural balance. “The goal of CRM® is to help create trauma informed and resiliency focused communities that share a common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system and how resiliency can be restored using a simple skills-based approach,” says Jesse Hardin. “For First Citizens Bank to sponsor this training for people who dedicate their lives to helping others really shows their commitment to our community.”
