CCLCF Announces New Medical Director

Wilmington, North Carolina – Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear (CCLCF) has named Dr. Henry Hawthorne, Jr. as its new Medical Director. Dr. Hawthorne was previously CCLCF’s Associate Medical Director before stepping into the new role. A former pediatrician, Dr. Hawthorne retired from Wilmington Health in 2011, but continued to positively affect the health and lives of the patients and families in our community. He received the Greater Wilmington Business Journal 2016 Health Care Heroes award, which honors individuals and organizations that are making an impact on the quality of healthcare in Wilmington. CCLCF would like to welcome Dr. Hawthorne as Medical Director and thank him for his dedication to the organization and the counties we serve.
